While most clients choose to be billed using regular hourly rates, TMT Law understands that entrepreneurs often need more flexibility. We are therefore open to considering alternative billing arrangements.
Step 1
Online or In-person meeting
the first step is to have an online or in-person meeting for TMT Law to gather basic information about your legal matter. Please make sure to bring the most relevant documents (e.g. key contracts, relevant correspondence) and two forms of valid government-issued picture ID (e.g. national ID, passport, driver’s license). You will also be required to provide know-your-client (or KYC) information, as required by law.
Step 2
Early file assessment
At this stage, we will review the relevant documents and the relevant law to assess your legal needs. This is a very important step. It allows us to begin formulating an effective strategy to resolve your problem and enables us to begin the process of setting your reasonable expectations. You decide whether our early case assessment is done on a flat fee or hourly-billing basis.
Step 3
Agreement on legal fees
We recognize that different clients prefer different legal fee structures. After consultation, we enter into this agreement on legal fees will be specified in an engagement letter signed by TMT Law and the client. Depending on the situation, this can include:
1
HOURLY RATES
Traditional hourly rates.
2
FLAT FEES
For most projects, we can quote you a fixed price service and stick to it.
3
CONTINGENCY
In some circumstances, we can get paid a percentage of any amount recovered or paid to the client. That means we only get paid when our clients do.
4
PRE-PACKAGED MONTHLY FEES
TMT Law offers pre-packaged monthly fees to small and medium sized businesses that may not have the resources to hire a full-time in-house lawyer, but require on-site legal support on a continuous basis. Please contact TMT Law for further details on these monthly membership fees or check out our General Counsel Services page.”
5
CUSTOMIZED ARRANGEMENTS
We are open to other billing arrangements, subject to applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
